On the Saturday, the
draw system used for the children and Intermediates was that used in South
Africa, also in Victoria Australia and in some
events in Canada
that I know of. It is a knockout
system with the losing players going into losers’ knockout pools. A second
loss puts them out. The finalists of the winners’ knockout pools fight for 1st
and 2nd places. The winners of the two losers’ pools get 3rd=.
